Anal cancer is a uncommon form of cancer that occurs in the anus. There are amny other risk factors for Anal cancer. Anus is the opening at the end of the rectum around which body waste passes. The skin around the outside of the anus is called the perianal area. Tumors in this area are skin tumors, not anal cancer. Cancer in the outer part of the anus is more likely to occur in men, cancer of the inner part of the rectum is more likely to occur in women. Having multiple sex partners or having anal sex, due to the increased risk of exposure to the HPV virus. Current smokers are several times more likely to develop anal cancer compared with nonsmokers. Inflammation resulting from benign analy retarted, such as hemorrhoids and anal fistulas, has been considered to cause a predisposition to anal cancer.

Anal cancer is usually a disease of the older population. Anal cancer is typically a squamous cell carcinoma that arises near the squamocolumnar junction. The rate of infection of HPV is increased in patients with HIV even if they do not engage in anal receptive intercourse and do not have evidence of suppression of their immune system. Currently, anal cancer is not considered an AIDS defining illness. However, frequently, patients who have been newly diagnosed with anal cancer are tested for HIV if they have other risk factors for infection with HIV. Although there appears to be an increased rate of anal cancer in patients who have benign anal conditions such as anal fistulae, anal fissures, perianal abscesses, or hemorrhoids, it does not appear that these benign conditions are a cause of anal cancer.

Some basics of anal cancer cause no symptoms at all. But bleeding occurs in more than half of patients and is usually the first sign of the disease. Pain or lumps in the anal area may be a symptom. Anal itching and discharge can also be signs of anal cancer. At first, most people assume that hemorrhoids are the cause of their bleeding. Itching can also be a symptom. Occasionally, patients have the sensation of having a mass in the anus and may experience itching or anal discharge. In certain patients, these symptoms may be associated with the presence of warts in the anal region. Rarely, in advanced cases, anal cancers can disrupt the function of the anal muscles, resulting in loss of control of bowel movements. There are a number of benign conditions, such as hemorrhoids, fissures, or anal warts that can cause similar symptoms. But if any of the signs or symptoms of anal cancer are present, discuss them with your doctor without delay.

There are treatments present for all patients with anal cancer. Like most cancers, anal cancer is best treated when it is found early. Possible treatments include radiation, chemotherapy and surgery. Your treatment will depend whether the tumor has spread, and on the type, size and location of the tumor. Surgery is a common way to diagnose and treat anal cancer. Chemotherapy uses drugs to kill cancer cells. Chemotherapy may be taken by pill, or it may be put into the body by a needle in a vein or muscle. Radiation therapy uses x-rays or other high-energy rays to kill cancer cells and shrink tumors. Radiation may come from a machine outside the body or from putting materials that produce radiation through thin plastic tubes in the area where the cancer cells are found. Radiation can be used alone or in addition to other treatments.

There are lot acai cancer questions out there that need to be cleared up. As most of us know the acai berry which is a small purple fruit found in the Amazonian rain forest has been shown to have a tremendous amount of healthy benefits for humans. Researchers have identified over 19 Amino Acids and the acai berry has 20-30 times more Anthocynanins per volume than that of red wine. Past studies have suggested that, to the already surprising health effects of acai berries that acai and cancer be mentioned in the same sentence. The search for a cure for cancer has been ongoing since the beginning of the twentieth century, and while there have been significant improvements in the treatments, is it possible that scientists may turn to nature for the next range of anti-carcinogens? It is not impossible that in the future, acai cancer cures will be widely used in the treatment of all kinds of cancer, including leukemia? Perhaps a recent study will shed some light on the relationship of acai and cancer.Scientists suggest acai cancer cureScientists at the University of Florida conducted acai cancer studies back in 2006. The study showed extracts from acai (ah-SAH’-ee) berries triggered a self-destructive response in up to 86 percent of cultured leukemia cells. Six different chemical extracts were made from acai fruit pulp, and each extract was prepared in seven concentrations. Four of the acai canceer extracts were shown to kill significant numbers of leukaemia cells when applied for 24 hours. Depending on the extract and concentration, anywhere from about 35 percent to 86 percent of the cells died. Compounds that show good activity against cancer cells in a model system are most likely to have beneficial effects in our bodies including the acai cancer properties that caused self destructive patterns in leukemia cells. Other fruits, including grapes, blue berries, cranberries, guavas and mangoes, contain antioxidants that have had results similar to the acai and cancer studies previously conducted. Experts are uncertain how much effect antioxidants have on cancer cells in the human body because factors such as nutrient absorption, metabolism and the influence of other biochemical processes may influence the antioxidants’ chemical activity. If acai and cancer links are true as past studies suggest, it is because of the antioxidants properties that are widely discussed in scientific circles. Acai berries have very high levels of antioxidant nutrients in their make-up, as well as essential fatty acids such as omega 3. Scientists have identified over 16 identified antioxidants and phytonutrients with another potential 70 other acai and cancer fighting compounds yet to be identified. In fact, acai berries have a high level of proanthocyanidins and anthrocyanins; two similar acai cancer like elements that have already been tested in multiple cancer studies. We do know that to date there is no absolute known cure for cancer. Cancer is a scary and life altering disease that comes in many forms. If acai and cancer are to be explored in greatr detail, then money needs to be set aside for further acai cancer research. Why hasn’t it been done yet after a great findings? Well pharmaceutical companies do not want there to be a such thing as a natural or acai cancer cure. They would not be able to rake in billions of dollars and scientifically engineered drugs that have huge side effects, are addictive, and in a lot of cases deadly. I hope that at some point someone can fund another acai cancer study to possibly help millions who suffer from cancer and it’s effects on a daily basis.

Uterine Cancer

Uterine (Endometrial) cancer is the most common gynecologic cancer (i.e., cancer that originates in female reproductive system). It develops in the body of the uterus, or womb, which is a hollow organ located in the lower abdomen. The wall of the uterus is comprised of an inner lining (called the endometrium) and an outer layer of muscle tissue (called the myometrium).

Endometrial cancer (Uterine Cancer) is most common after the reproductive years, between the ages of 60 and 70. Endometrial cancer is sometimes called uterine cancer, but there are other cells in the uterus that can become cancerous – such as muscle or myometrial cells.

Endometrial cancer (Uterine Cancer) is often detected at an early stage because it frequently produces vaginal bleeding between menstrual periods or after menopause. If discovered early, this slow-growing cancer is likely to be confined to the uterus. Removing the uterus surgically often eliminates all of the cancer. In fact, stage I Endometrial cancer is successfully treated more than 90 percent of the time.

Causes of Endometrial Cancer (Uterine cancer)

Endometrial Cancer (Uterine cancer) seems linked to several predisposing factors : -

* abnormal uterine bleeding. * diabetes. * familial tendency. * history of uterine polyps or Endometrial hyperplasia. * hypertension. * low fertility index and anovulation. * nulliparity. * obesity. * Uninterrupted estrogen stimulation.

Diagnosis of Endometrial Cancer (Uterine Cancer)

1. The doctor performs a pelvic exam, checking the vagina, uterus, ovaries, bladder, and rectum for Endometrial Cancer (Uterine Cancer). The doctor feels these organs for any lumps or changes in their shape or size. An instrument called a speculum is used to widen the vagina so the doctor can see the upper portion of the vagina and the cervix. 2. The Pap test is often performed during a pelvic exam Endometrial Cancer (Uterine Cancer). The doctor uses a wooden scraper (spatula) or small brush to collect a sample of cells from the cervix and upper vagina. The cells are then sent to a medical laboratory to be checked for abnormal changes. Because uterine cancer begins inside the uterus, it may not show up on a Pap test, which examines cells from the cervix. 3. A biopsy is necessary to help the doctor make a diagnosis. A biopsy can usually be done in the doctor’s place. In a biopsy, the doctor removes a sample of tissue from the uterine lining. In some cases, a woman may require a dilation and curettage (D&C), which is usually same-day surgery done in a hospital with anesthesia. During a D&C, the opening of the cervix is widened and the doctor scrapes tissue from the lining of the uterus. A pathologist examines the tissue to check for cancer cells, hyperplasia, or other conditions. After a D&C, women may have cramps and vaginal bleeding during healing.
